Terms & Conditions
The terms behind every repair.
These terms set out how we quote, carry out and warranty engine diagnostic and repair work at HerbieTech Auto Ltd.
About these terms
These terms govern repair, diagnostic and servicing work carried out by HerbieTech Auto Ltd ('we', 'us'). By booking work or leaving a vehicle with us, you agree to these terms.
Quotes and estimates
Estimates are based on the symptoms described and an initial inspection. Final pricing may change once the fault is confirmed. We will contact you for approval before carrying out additional work that exceeds the original estimate.
Diagnostic work
Diagnostic time is chargeable whether or not the underlying fault is repaired by us. A written or verbal report of findings will be provided before any repair work is authorised.
Parts and warranty
We use OEM or warranty-safe equivalent parts unless otherwise agreed. New parts fitted by us carry the manufacturer's warranty. Labour on completed repairs is warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, subject to fair use.
Customer-supplied parts
Where customers supply their own parts, we cannot warrant those parts or the labour associated with fitting them. Diagnosis and re-work caused by faulty supplied parts will be chargeable.
Payment
Payment is due in full on collection of the vehicle, by card, bank transfer or cash. Vehicles will not be released until full payment has been received and cleared.
Storage and uncollected vehicles
Vehicles left more than 7 days after repair completion or written-off diagnosis may incur a daily storage charge. Uncollected vehicles may be disposed of in accordance with the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977.
Liability
We carry appropriate motor trade insurance for vehicles in our care. We are not liable for items of value left inside the vehicle, pre-existing faults unrelated to the booked work, or consequential losses such as loss of use.
Cancellations
Bookings can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations may be subject to a fee covering reserved workshop time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
